Louis C. Ferrante
1951

On June 7, 2017, I received a veterans form from Louis C. Ferrante, who lived in Ship Bottom, New Jersey at the time of his service in the Navy.  The form states that Louis C. Ferrante attended Hackensack High School from 1947 to 1949.  On May 16, 1951,
Louis Carl Ferrante entered the United States Navy and was discharge on April 9, 1954, which would be for the entire
Korean War.  Louis C. Ferrante says he was a disbursing Third Class.

He does not mention the ship he served on, but does make a note… quote “Worked with Admirals Nimitz and Halsey who had been recalled to active duty.”  That’s quite a quote… the two greatest Admirals in the Pacific Theater during World War II and he was serving under their leadership during the Korean War.
